The New Plymouth Club's competitions were advanced a further stage yesterday. In the seiai-flnals and the ladies' Biagles championship Miss Bundle beat Miss Greatbatch, 4, a—l; and in the semi-finals of the men's handicap singles ,Turner beat Grant, 60—42. Ihe final of the ladies' handicap singles between Miss Greatbatch and Miss M. Thomson will be played this afternoon. Another interesting match this afternoon will be a semi-final ia the mens' championship between Webster and Ryder. The finals and all the events will be played next week. Eltham defeated Kaponga .at Eltham, on Thursday, by 13 games, the scores beir.j: Eltham 120, Kaponga It) 7.
