MAORI FOUND DEAD. By Telegraph.—rress Association, ' Auckland, Feb. 13. It is reported from Kaitaia that Mel* hemi, aped 25, who was found dead by the police, was reported missing since last Saturday, when it was alleged he was struck on the head by another \Iao;-i during a quarrel. The inquiries of Constable Caldwell, of Kaitaia, resulted in the And to-day (Wednesday), twenty chains from the scene of the auarrel, in a drain in 'ls inches of waterThe local police arrested the other Maori, whose name is unknown.
