Advantage is being taken of the op. portnnity afforded by the Parliamentary party leaving dn the Mokoia for Samoa ro send an urgently needed shipment of about 100 tons of foodstuffs to Niue and Mangaia. Both places, owing to a dislocation of the Island steamer service, are experiencing food shortages, which are in danger of becoming acute. Had the Mokaia not been available *the [slanders would have had to wait until April or May for supplies.
