JVANGANUI SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. * Wanganui, Feb. 12. In the undefended divorce case, William C. B. T. Heathy v. Mabel E. Heathy and Joseph Wilson, a Native, co-res-pondent, a jury of twelve was empanelled to assess the damages. Petitioner claimed £SOO from co-respondent and the jury assessed the damages at £47- r >. The usual order was made by Mr. Justice Sim. | ' .WELLINGTON SESSIONS. Wellington, Feb. 12. The Supreme Court has been occupied for two days with a manslaughter charge against a taxi-driver named Bevet Barker Williams, the victim of the accident 'being the wife of Detective Black. A quantity of evidence Was taken to prove negligence. Accused, in the witness' box, swore that the lady dodged backwards and forwards, and finally ran into the car. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty.
