ENTERTAINMENTS.

EVERYBODY'S. LAST NIGHT OF "THE INDESTRUCTIBLE WIFE." • "The Indestructible Wife," featuring Alicp Brad}', is quite a new type of comedy-drama, and the big audience which saw the film last evening evidently thoroughly enjoyed it. The wife set the pace not only for her husband, but; for her family, and they all got exhausted trying to keep up. She was cured in the end, but. the explanation had better be left to the screen. To-night will- be the final screening occasion. On this nrogramme the first episode of "The Lightning Raider." the new Pearl White serial, is also being shown. This picture opens in a sensational manner, and bids fair to live up to the reputation as the best serial the fair Pearl has yet starred in.

THE PEOPLE'S. BIG -YUKON FILM TO-NIGHT. As announced a few days ago, the thrilling Metro drama, "The Way of the Strong," will be the feature at the People's theatre to-night- Anna Q. Nilsson, known to fame for her rare beauty and unusual dramatic ability, will be seen as the star of 'this play, which deals with life and love in the great open spaces of the frozen north, where convention is lost in the powerful needs of the trackless wastes—where men dare to be strong and women to be true. It is a play to enthrall and a star to charm, and gives rare opportunity. to behold scenes of matchless beauty and vast stretches .of trackless snow —unending panoramas ai nature's splendours. The latest gazettes, comedy and interest films are also oh the bill and natrons will receive a free photo of Dorothy Dalton.

THE EMPIRE. ItETUKN VISIT OF THE "KIWIS." NEXT SATURDAY-NIGHT. The last famous band of soldier entertainers, the "Kiwis," who delighted big audiences last week-end, are returning to New Plymouth next Saturday, and will give a final concert that night at the Empire Theatre. On this occasion the Kiwis will appear in an entirely new programme of all the latest successes made so popular by them on their recent tour through England. Admirers of this popular band of entertainers say that their second programme is even better than the one previously submitted, and excels in bright sparkling numbers and rollicking comedy turns. The •box plan for this one night return visit is now open at Collier's.
