THE STRATFORD CLUB. The committee of the Stratford Bowl-. ing Club met on Monday night. It %va» decided to cut out the sealed handicap competition, owing to the lateness of the season, and to call for further nominations for the colts' coiitest, closing on February lfl. Further nominations will be received for the championship until the same date. The follow. ing have already entered and play may be proceeded with at once:—Section h~Lyons, Nicholson, Edgecumbe, Porritfc, Sharp, Harris, McMillan. Section 2:— Curtis, Hillook, King, McPherson, Allen, Smart, W. McDonald. Should any section winner qualify with four games, it has been arranged that the skip* with an equal number of wins will bo entitled to come in also. The green warden, Mr. W. Harris, is at present making inqnines regarding suitable soil for the green, with a view of having sub-soil put in next year. The greens at Eltham, fnglewond. and other centres in .ftirtw iinki will be inspected, and a report will be submitted at the next meeting of the committee. j
