SUPREME COURT.
WELLINGTON SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Feb. 11. In the Supreme Court to-day the charge against Leslie Lindsay Fieming of being found at night without lawful ewiuse on the premises of the Christchurch Club was adjourned till next session on account of the non-appearance of the principal witness, Gerald L. Sfeair. His Honor remarked that the business ftos grossly unfair to the prisoner, who was entitled to be tried at the present session. He granted the application w> have Stead's bond of £SO estreated, and instructed the Crown Prosecutor to tell the police to have the witness present 'n<xt time. William Walker, 10 years, with an exceptionally lad criminal record, was sentenced in the Supreme Court to two years' reformative treatment. Justice Si.- Bassett Edwards said the boy apparently had a mania for burning'down buildings. His last offence was the destruction of a building and furniture at Weraroa Training Farm.
WANGANUI SESSIONS. Wanganui, Feb- 11. In the Supreme Court John Elvyn Byrne, Richard Jones and Archibald Hunter, convicted of theft of £4O from a passenger on the Main Trunk express near Taihape, were sentenced to three years' reformative treatment. Thos. J. Spalding, convicted of theft, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment. W. C. Cronin, who pleaded guilty in the lower court to five charges of iheft from dwellings from Wanganui and Palmerston North, was sentenceil to six months' imprisonment on each charge, the sentences to be concurrent, and declared a habitual criminal. T. Peapells was fined £5 for a false declaration to the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages. Florence L. Suister, for a similar offence, was imprisoned till the rising of the Court.
