The Imperial Statistical Conference has completed its work on the collection and co-ordination of data, relating to agriculture, forests, crops' forecast, fisheries, land tenure, and irrigation; also a quinquennial agricultural census. A scheme was completed for the formation of an Imperial Statistics Bureau, and it is thoroughly representative of all parts of the Empire. A committee on the census population of the Empir?' is sitting, under the chairmanship of Mr. Knihhs (Government Statistician in Australia).—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
