SINN FEIN RAID. QUANTITY OF GELIGNITE CAPTURED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Feb. S. Masked and armed Sinn Feinere raided the drifter Arklow and removed IS boxes containing half a ton of gelignite, The drifter had loaded jrelignite on Thursday" at Kynoch's explosives factory, which was recently closed in order to transport it elsewhere, But was compelled to return to port owing to stress and weather. Meantime the military guard was withdrawn. The raiders took up positions on various parts of the quays, while a party boarded the dr.ifter from a. small boat, surprising and binding the watchmen. The raiders were all acquainted with explosives and selected f>n*y the finished product. The police and military "have not succeeded in tracing the gelignite. Seventy Sinn Feiners, who had been arrested, were removed from the Cork gaol under a strong military guard, including armoured cars, placed on war vessels at Queenstown, and taken to an English nnrt. POLICE BARRACKS CAPTURED. London, Feb. in. Trn hundred armed men captured Castle Martyr police barracks in County Cork. Many casualties are reported.
