PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The committee held its monthly meeting in the Plunket Rooms on Monday. 9th Feb. Tho nurse's reports for the month ending December Hist and January 31st were read as follows:—New cases, S and 9; babies under care, 10S and 117; mothers preparing milk in homes, 69 and 74; mothers shown how to make milk, 5 and 7; visits paid to homes, 283 and 314; visitors to rooms, 10 and 50; mothers and babies, 211 and 351; letters received, 4 and.3. It was agreed that a telephone be installed at Nurse Williams' private resid'.nee for the convenience of mothers urgently requiring her assistance. Subscriptions wore received from the following:—Government subsidy, £SO-; Mrs. Brodie, £5; Mr. Earp, .ci; Mrs. Luke, 10s; Mrs. Vadancrucli, 10s: Mrs. N. Rundle, ss; Mrs. J. E. Stone (Stratford) 2s (3d; sale of literature, 89; gacgaj, ,£1 .
