Under the new .Navigation Act, which comes into operation on March 2, no overseas liner will be permitted to curry passengers between Commonwealth ports. CONSPIRACY CHARGES. Sydney, Feb, 9. Sydney, Feb. 10. The City Council has decided to purchase a coal mine to provide fuel for municipal undertakings. INDUSTRY KILLED BY STRIKE. Sydney, Feb. 10. The management of the Newnes Oil Industry have announced that as the result of the miners striking 13 weeks ago the industry has been crippled, and, as there are no signs of the men returning, they must c-10.-;e down. So far the miners have lost £-28,000 in ' wagas.
