O'Hara Wood and Hawke3 defeated Klntfscote and Beamish, C—4, o—3, 6—S, o—2. The singles were postponed till Tues-day.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. A match between Manala v. Kaponga was played en Saturday, and. resulted ln an e»sy win for Manala. The scores were: Mantis 144, Kaponga, 65. A', tho Hawera Tennis and Croquet grounds on 'Hurday general regret was expressed by (lit . .esldent at the Impending departure of Mr. Goorgo Whitehorn, who was congratulated on his promotion, besides being presented with several articles of table silver. Captain Mellav and Caplcn, who were on the courts for the first time since their return from military service, wero wsrraly welcomed.—Star.
