. BOARD OP TRADE FIX.RATES. NEW PLYMOUTH PRICES. The Board of Trade advises that on account of the increases resulting from the unfavorable rate of exchange, and also the increased cost of transport sind packing mat Hals, Increases in prices of petrol- as fixed by Ordcr-in-Council, of July 12th, lßls, have befh found necessary.* The maximum retail prices will in future be a» iV.loif:— Wellington:—Per case of not less than Sgals., class A, 30s; B, 255. Per tin of not less than 4gals., 15s and 12s (Id. Less than 4gals., per gal., 4s and 3s fld. Similar prices to the above will rule at Auckland, Chriatchurch, and Dunedin. For A class petrol the prjee has been increased 3s per Sgals. At Napier nnd fimaru.—Class A Sgals. 30s (id, class B 2os Cd; lgals., los 3d and 12s 9d; less than 4 galg., 4s Id and 3s 7d. At Wanganui, 'New Plymouth, and Oisbcrne.—Class A (Sgals.)' 31s Od, class B 2fls Cd; 4gals., las fld and 13* 3d,; less than 4gals„ 4s 3d and 3s 9d. At Invercargill.—Class A (Sgal».) 32b, class B 275; 4gafc., 10s and 13s fld; less than 4gak, 4s 3d and 3s 9d. These increases take effect as from the Gth instant-
