AUCKLAND CASES. Dy Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Feb. 7. ' At the Supreme Court, Stokes, who pleaded guilty to ten charges of false pretence*, theft and forgery, was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment aad declared an habitual criminal. Walter George Wheeler, 29 years old, who liai twenty-five convictions since he arrived in New Zealand four years ago, was sentenced to twelve months and declared an habitual criminal on eleven charges of forgery and fajse pref/UWL Oscar gtrangebye, a Norwegian, was declared an habitual criminal and sentenced to two years' imprisonment for breaking and entering. A similar sentence wag imposed on Charles Henderson for false pretences. Harry James Fitzgibbon was sentenced to Ave years' imprisonment for BMMHiag a mate. Henry Wahanui, the leader in a case of theft from the person at Tokomaru, was ordered to tmdergo two years' reftiraative treatment. Two younger accomplices, Henry Solomon and Kaka Riki, were admitted to probation.
