THE TRAMWAY DISPUTE.
AGREEMENT REFUSED IN WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Feb. !>. The offer made to the tramway men as the result of the recent Dominion Conference was considered at shift meetings of the Wellington Union held yesterday. The wages schedule was considered quite inadequate, and the conditions generally very unsatisfactory. It was decided practically unanimously to refuse the offer. The union will dispense with the ballot as the result is regarded as a foregone conclusion.
