At the inquest on Archibald Edward Gilchrist, who was found dead in his tent at Oringi on Sunday last, the Coroner found that death was due to a wound in the throat, self-inflicted while suffering from hallucinations and mental depression. A GUN ACCIDENT. Dargaville, Feb. 4. Jack Green and Alf Jenkins, or Oranoa, aged fifteen and ten years respectively, were yesterday cleaning out a pea-rifle, and endeavoring to extract a jammed bullet- The gun went off, the bullet passing through Green's leg and lodging in Jenkin's knee- Dr. Burton sent both lads to the Northern Wairoa Hospital.

HORSES COLLIDE. Darcaville, Feb, 4. A second serous 'accident occurred at the little township of Oranoa on Tuesday. Two horses in a trolley bolted and collided with a horse ridden, and another led, by George Hall. The latter was thrown off and seriously injured.
