It is reported that Japan has intimated that Dr. Solf will not.be acceptable as Germany's representative. [Before the war, Dr. Solf was Germany's representative at Samoa. He was recently appointed to go to Tokio as German Charge d'Affaires, to assume the position of Ambassador at a later date.]
