THE PRINCE.
I TOUR OF AUSTRALASIA. SAILING ON MARCH 8. By Telegraph.—Press Assn- Copyright. London, Feb. 4. It is understood that the King has approved the final draft of the Prince's itinerary. The Renown sails from Portsmouth on March 9. WELCOME FROM THE MAORIS. A DEMONSTRATION AT ROTORUA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. It is tlie wish of the native people of New Zealand to give a, special welcome to the Prince of Wales on behalf of the Maoris, similar to the welcome given to the present King when he visited this country many years ago. It has been decided that the welcome of the Maoris shall be given at Rotorua, as was the welcome to King George, and arrangements have been made to give notice to the Maori members of Parliament to communicate with their people Mid to arrange with them as to what (ribes are to be represented, and as to the form of the demonstration. It is considered preferable from every point of view that'the Maoris should unite in giving a combined welcome to the Prince at some central point such as Rotorua, rather than that there should bo small native demonstrations in different parts of the country.
