The Minister for War, in an intervie#, said Japan's aim in Siberia was the evacuation of the Czechs, of -whom there were fifty thousand who required transport, and this necessitated keeping the railways open. The Japanese would not tolerate interference from any quarter in this task, but they would endeavor not to interfere in Siberian politics.
