FIRES.

OUTBREAK AT TAIHAPE. By Telegraph.—Pres". Association. Taihape, Feb. 2. A fire broke out in a large block of buildings in Station Street including Hall's restaurant, Mrs. Muncaster's fruit and confectionery shop, and Miss Harvey, dressmaking workshop. Hall's is a total loss as nothing wits saved. The other buildings were only partially injured. The owner is Mrs. Elliott Wilson. The insurances were £SOO in the State Fire Office, Hall's furniture £IOO in the Victoria office, while the other tenants were not insured.
