EXPLOSIVES ON A RAILWAY By Telegraph.^—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Jan. 30, 10.15 p.m. Paris, Jan. 28. The Simplon Orient express narrowly escaped disaster near Verona. Tubes of high explosives similar to tliose used in war-time to demolish entanglements were placed on the line, and exploded a few seconds prematurely.
