King Lupin, Lord Kenilworth, King Abbey and Te Oro arc popular picks in the Stewards' Handicap, and the topweight should be the hardest to beat. Madam Rlstorl has only to start In the Zealandla Handicap tq settle the question of favoritism, and 8.9 should suit her nicely. Te Toa has freshened up a lot since the holiday meetings, and looks the better of Percy Johnsons pair In hurdlo events. Thrace is Jumping well, and his flat laelnE of late haß improved him wonderfully. Though burdened with 12.19 In the Orewa Hurdles he may be best backed. Tessares should beat Landslide at men weights in the Calliope Handicap, but the Ferry Handicap looks too Open for away-from-the-course punters. The meeting will be concluded on Saturday.
