NEW PLYMOUTH R.S.A.
GENERAL MEETING. A general meeting of the New Plymouth Returned Soldiers' Association was held last night. Lieut.-Colonel J>\ (i. Evans presided, and there, were about twenty members present. The following appointments made by the executive were confirmed:—Representative on the Repatriation Board, Captain Hartneil (vice Mr. (}. B. Ellerra); treasurer, Mr. H. Davis; member of the executive, the chairman of the Inglewood sub-branch. Mr. A. T. Huggett was appointed to the vacancy on the executive, caused by the appointment of Mr. Davis to the treasurership. The question of unfinancial members of the Association was referred to the executive, who are to report as to the steps taken to recover overdue subscriptions.
The new position of the Association with the Harbor Board in regard to the occupancy of its present rooms as a club was explained by Captain Hartnell.
The matter of payment for the use of the Club was discussed, and it was agreed to make a charge, with the annual subscription notice, of 5s per annum to members residing within three miles of the post office, and 2s Cd to those beyond that distance; no charge to be made for members of sub-branch-es;' the charges to be optional.
