THE BRITISH MARKET. NEW CONTROL PROPOSAL. By Telegraph.—-Press Assn>-Copyrlgbt. Received Jan. 27, 2.40 p.m. < London, Jan. 26. A movement is afoot among importers of colonial butter and cheese and wholesale traders for combined action wheft the Ministry of Food relinquishes con* trol.
It is understood the proposal is ta form a committee, wjth the present buti ter and cheese import committee of the' Ministry of Food as a. nucleus, to which will be added representatives of the British, G'anad-'an, Australian and New Zealand Governments, and also leading importers and dealers. This committee is to take control of all imports of butter and cheese, superintend the distribution, and provide money to finance operations in the Colonies.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
