PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE.

NEW PREMISES IN NEW PLYMOUTH. The Minister's approval for the erection of new premises for the Public Trust Office has been obtained. Plans have been prepared by Mr. T. H. Bates, A.N.Z.1.A., and tenders will be called for immediately. The new building, which will be situated on the site recently purchased from Mr. S. Shaw, on the corner of King and Queen Streets, is to be erected in reinforced concrete, on the most up-to-date lines, and will contain public office, manager's office, interviewing room, main office, West Coast Reserve rent office, strong room for use of the Public Trust, and safe deposit vault for the use of the public. The latter, it is expected, will supply a long-felt want.
