WEDDING BELLS.

PACKER—MANGINO. A very pretty and interesting wedding took place at Okato on January 22nd', when Mr. Joseph Mangino was married to Miss Francis Packer, eldest daughter of Mrs Packer, late of the Kaihilii Road, Okato. Th; marriage was solemnised by the Rev. Father Soulas, and the bride was given away by Mr. Soloman. The bride looked charming in her rich bridal robes. Miss Woodward' acted as bridesmaid, and Mr. llert Smith. of Okato, acted as best man. After the ceremony, the bridal party and a large number of guests sat dowii to a sumptuous breakfast.

The bride is one of the most popular and highly esteemed young ladies in the district, and carries with her the esteem and good wishes of all for her future, "whilst the bridegroom is also much esteemed in the district, where he has resided for quite a number of years. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a solid gold wristlet watch, the bride's gift to the bridegroom being a silvermounted walking stick. In the afternoon the happy couple left for New Plymouth, en route to the mountain house, where they are to spend their honeymoon. They received many valuable presents from their friends in tiie district.
