They point out ■that Australia is rapidly becoming the virtual premier tenuis land of the world. This was especially demonstrated by her representatives' rapid and clean-cut successes over England, It ,1s understood that the United States National Lawn Tennis Association, which meets on February 6, will Issue a challonge for the Davis Cup.—Aus-N.Z. Cable Assn. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The first round of the club competitions finishes to-morrow, and players who have not completed will be scratched The second round is to be finished by Saturday (January 31).
