FLYING TO AUSTRALIA.
CAPTAIN MATTHEWS AT BAGDAD. By Telegraph.—l'ress Assn.—CopyilCbt. Received Jan. 23, 2 p.m. Bombay, Jan. 22. Captain C. G. Matthews, in his Sopwith machine "Wallaby," arrived at Bagdad on January 21st.—Reuter Service. [The story of the effort o£ Captain Matthews to fly to Australia is one of a series of delays, mostly due to bad weather. He was the first British aviator to set out for Australia, having left London on. October 21 last year. He was last reported at Constantinople on December 23, and the message added that he would % from there to Bagdad.]
