On Sunday (states the Manaia Wit: ness) two men "borrowed" a motor car without the owner's permission. Being new chums with a car it took them soma time to get going. The owner spotted his -car moving up Manaia road and was soon after it in another, but fehe "jokers" had meanwhile thought it batter to return, especially as one tyre was flat, and the ear, in inexperienced handg, was taking up more than its share of the road. When ordered to do so the "would-be motorists" promptly alighted, each wearing a sickly smile. Probably these men are not aware that the law was altered during last session of Parliament, and it is no longer a 'joke" to borrow a car or anything else wtihout the owner's consent. The modern woman can thank "Fairy Wonder" Cleanser for her emancipation from wash-tub slavery. The up-to-date housewife soaks the weekly wash overnight in cold water, to which has been added a small quantity of "Fairy Wonder" Dry Soap. It works while she sleeps. A light boiling in the morning completes the trick. Try it. All grocers stock it.
