FARMERS IN POLITICS.
QUESTION OF NEW PARTY. The formation 01 a Farmers' Party in Parliament was mentioned by tl\e president of the Auckland Farmers' Union, Mr. J. Boddb, at an executive meeting. He stated that he had discussed the question with a very prominent farmer, who was now a member of the House, and the latter had promised to obtain the opinion of other members at the earliest possible opportunity. He, however, was afraid that as many of the farmers in the House were pledged to support the Reform Party the Government might not approve of the suggestion.
