The Minister of Finance, Sir James Allen, stated to-day that the amount raised for the New Zealand Victory Loan ha 9 been increased to £8,800,000, while there are other considerable amounts to come in under the compulsory clauses. Even though these do not make up the whole of the loan it nevertheless is guaranteed as perfectly safe.
