Heavy rain overnight mada the greens heavy and showers of rain and hall twice interrupted play. On account of delays only 16 head 3 could be played in the third round. The singles championship will commence to-morrow, and the rinks competition will probably be resumed on Saturday. After to-day's play there remain In the rinks competition five rinks with two lives each, and 18 with ono life each. Those of two lives are: Woolf (Christchurch), Lundon (Wanganui), Sharp (Stratford), Harraway (Dunedln), Fraser (St. John's). One life: Nash (Palmerston North), Laws (Victoria), Dee (Malta!), Wylie (Kalapol), Stephens (Kelburn), Buchanan (Green Island), Bremner (Invercargill), Tyrell (Lyall Bay), Gray (Kelburn), Pankhurst (Wcstport), A. F. Splller (Remuera), Amtman (St. Clair), Calder (Phoenix), Wooller (Remuera), Travers (Waimate), Fookes (Carlton), Belynon (Petone), Fountain (Wellington). Maxwell Walker (Ponsonby), who won all the nine games in the sectional play, was defeated to-day by Glbbs Jordan (Kangiora) and Wyne (Kalapoi), and dropped out of the competition. TO-MORROW'S MATCHES. The following will represent the West End Club in it friendly match against Waltara at the West End green to-morrow, at 2 p m.: Walsh, Tlchbon, Stevenson, Oliver; B. Petty, Brash, HurUstone, Billing; Hodaon. T. Sole, Honeyfield, F. K. Newell; Sims, Smith, J. H. Thompson, McAllum.
