RECORD PRICKS REACHED. London, Dec. 20. The cotton boom exhibits an amazing record of fortunes unexpectedly made in a few hours. The cost of a new mill has become several times that, of the pre-war price- Hence speculators arc buying companies at figures hitherto considered impossible. In many cases managers and foremen are combining to purchase a mill, knowing that tremendous profits are assured for some years.
