A MINISTER'S RESIGNATION. • By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Received Jan. 15, 12.5 am. Sydney, Jan. 14. Mr. Grahame, Minister for Apiculture, and Administrator of the Stale Wheat Board, has tendered his resignation from the Ministry. The Executive Council has accepted hia resignation. Prior to the appointment of the Wheat Commission, When the wheat question was under discussion, Mr. Grahame offered to resign, but the Government then declined to accept his resignation. There has been a heavy slump in potatoes. Sales of the best made below £lO a ton. PRICE OF LEGAL ADVICE. London, Dec. 28. Solicitors have been permitted to advance their fees one-third, and as a result the familiar 6s 8d now becomes 8s lOd. Barristers' advances have been restricted to 20 per cent., while doctors have already advanced their fees 50 per cent. VISITORS TO GALUPOLI. London, Dec. 31. The Graves Commission, in a report concerning GaTlipoli, states that Anzae, where 50 cemeteries have been discovered, should be ready in the spring for the expected pilgrimage. Roads will be capable of carrying motor traffic about April. It is reported that the temporary crosses on the Australian graves will be handed over as mementoes to the next of kin when the permanent crosses art erected. REDUCTION OF BEQUEST. Vancouver, Dee. 25. The late Henry Clay Frick's estate, which was bequeathed to charity, was first estimated at £24,000,000. To-day it appears to amount to about £10,000,000, after inheritance taxes have been deducted. WHISKY EXPORT RESENTED. Vancouver, Dec. 29. Baltimore longshoremen have struck work as a protest against the removal of whisky from the United States. The men left their jobs when the steamer Ellerslie was ready to load 500,000 gallons destined for Bahama Island. NEW BRITISH CRUISER. London, Dec. 30. 'The* Enterprise, the newest type of cruiser, has been launched at Clydebank. Her engines are of 80,000 horsepower, generating a speed of 33 knots. The cost of the cruiser was £855,000.
