TARANAKI JOCKEY CLUB. The committee ot' tho Taranakl Jockey Club mot last night. Preesnt: Messrs. L. A. Nolan (111 the chair), TV. C. Weston, W. Nicoll, L. B. TVebster, O. TV. Sole. A. Alexander, J. McLeod, Newton Klnc, B. H. Chaney, a. Fraser, and E. P. Blundell Certificates of fitness r.nd character tor trainers' licenses were grunted to B. H, repporell and Jervols fieorge; for a Joewjrs license to F. 1\ Johnson; and for apprentices'' licenses to Leo. E George and F. Edgecombe. D. George, N. I>, Pennington, and K. Mundy were granted gentlemen riders' certificates. Eight new members were elected. Several transfers from the Taranakl Stakes, 1921, were approved. The Star Motor Cycle Club was granted tho use of the racecourse for Its sports In March. The Railway Department was requested to arrange special trains for the February meeting. ,The' extension of the date for receiving nominations for the February meeting to Friday, the ICth. Inst., was confirmed. A donation of £3 3s was made to the Fire Brigade for Its service at the Christmas meeting. A Sydney cable reports Jhe arrival (here of Mr. Keith's racehorses Crenides and Negligee, by the Maheno, all well.
