MINISTERIAL APPOINTMENTS.
MEETING OF REFORM PART?. Some time within the next few weeks appointments will have to be made* to (he Ministry. Sir William Fraaer is. ill Minister of Public Works, but as he is now a member of the Upper House it ' will not be possible for him to continue to hold the portfolio of Public Works through a session, and the new Minister will have to be appointed in good time to allow of his getting acquainted with the work before Parliament meets. The position with regard to Mr. Hint"to Unsettled. He is not now a member of Parliament, but it is generally known that ho contemplates taking some action at law with the object of having the • election reversed or set aside. until, that matter is decided he will probably continue in office as Minister af Internal Affairs. One or two appointments may .ha .< made before the Stratford business i* determined, but it is likely that a meet- • insr of the Reform Party will be held before anything is done. One idea is that the meeting of the party tony bfl • held immediately before the stetker leaves to convey the Parliamentary paryt to Samoa. Many members: of Par- ~ liament will be coming to Wellington to join the ship, and others may be |ble to come for the meeting. "!l|
