Dr. Fratel, who was accused of cruelty to British Kut-el-mara prisoners, was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment from the date of the trial, reduceA to the ranks, and dismissed from the eervice. The King remitted nine months of the sentence, releasing Fratel after seven days', imprisonment.--Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
