New York, Jan. 8. A Democratic National Committee meeting at Chicago to arrange preliminaries in connection with the Presidential nominations denounced the arrogancy of the Republicans and demanded that the Senate cease political manoeuvring. The meeting repudiated the suggestion that the United States joined the Allies in order to leave them in the lurch when peace and re-construction became imperative.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
