ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION.
DANGERS FOR AEROPLANES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—ComtljW. Received Jan. 9, 5.5 p.m. London, Jan. 7. , The Manchester Guardian states that Mr. J. L. Cope's idea of aeroplaning seems only a picturesque and dangerous side-show of which the probable results will not be worth the risks. It would be a tremendous ordeal to fly over ranges and there would be a deadly danger in a forced landing. Will aeronauts say it is possible to land on hard ice or uncertain snow on skis ?—United Service.
