THE RUGBY CONFERENCE. A VISIT PROM SOUTH AFRICA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. At a meeting of the Canterbury Bugby Union the recommendations of the Australasian Conference were considered. It was decided to support the establishment of an international board of control, and to agree to the appointment of Mr. W. W. Hill, of Sydney, as the central secretary. The alterations to the laws of the game Were not approved, this course being taken in order that the matter might bo held In abeyance pending the formation of an international board of control. It was decided to urge the New Zealand Union to Invite South Africa to send a team the Dominion this year.
