The Rarawa arrived from Onehunga yesterday morning. She sailed for the north on her Teturn trip after the arrival of last night's mail train, and is due again to-morrow morning. She will make a trip here again on Friday, and thereafter revert to her usual bi-weekly time-table.

THE CORINNA. The Corlnna left Nelson shortly after noon yesterday,-and was expected to reach New Plymouth about, midnight 'She brings a general cargo of about 60(1 tons of produce and merchandise for South Island east coast ports and Wellington, and will load general cargo for southern ports here. THE MAPOURIKA. Advice has been received by the New Plymouth office of the TJ.S-S-. Co. that the Mapourlka is to make a trip to this port from Wellington. She was expected to leave for New Plymouth with cargo only, last night. THE HUIA. The Hula, which is locally owned, came off the slip at Wellington last week. During the last three months the vessel has been under overhaul and during that time extensive alterations and improvements have been effected These comprise the erection of two cabins amidships for firemen and a watchhouse for the comfort of the officer and seaman in charge Hot and cold bath-rooms, electric light installation throughout are other Improvements In order to fit the vessel for the carriage of benzine In which trade she will he prinetpallv engaged, four iron bulkheads have been fastened to the skin, which makes the holds air-tight and water-tight. A collision bulk-head has also been fitted. The vessel has been passed by the Marine Department, and has been granted a permit for the purpose of carrying benzine. Her boiler and engines have been thoroughly overhauled, and all steam pipes renewed, the vessel being classed AI in this respect.
