ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS. KOTKAI NOT ENTERED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Delhi, Jan. 2. Advices from Kotkai dated December 29 state that the principal chiefs assembled at Jandolo and handed to General Climo a document unreservedly accepting the British terms. Meanwhile General Skeen's column arrived just south of Kotkai. Strong detachments were sent out to establish pickets on the hills east of Kotkai, where the enemy appeared to be lodged In considerable force. These picketing parties worked all day under the desultory fire of guns. They have lioen busy searching the ridge and valleys beyond. Intermittent sniping continues. Kotkai itself has not yet been entered. Bombay, Jan. 2. A widespread strike of mill hands affected over a score mills in the Warel area of Bombay. The demands include 60, per cent, increase in wages and a It) hour day.—Reuter.
EXCLUDING BOLSHEVIK PROPAGANDISTS. Paris, Jan. 1. Bolshevik attempts to concentrate in Central Asia and exploit a plan for an Islamic movement have attracted serious attention in India. The Times' Delhi correspondent believes the Afghan people will not tolerate an incursion on any pretext, though the Government is ready to accept financial assistance from Rus;sia. The India authorities are closely watching the North-West frontier to exclude propagandists.—United Service.
