MEAT IS PORT NOT DISCHARGED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.— Copyright. Received Jan. 5, 12.30 a.m. London, Jan. 3. The Plymouth Food Committee has protested to the Food Ministry for detaining the Germanic there undischarged with 115,000 carcases-of Australian mutton and other food. An official of the Dockers' Union states that the vessel lms burnt three thousand tons of coal while detained. There is sufficient literage to land the cargo, and also sufficient cold storage to accommodate three-quarters of the cargo.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn-
