AGAINST SALOONS.
A WORLD-WIDE CAMPAIGN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Jan. 4, 5-5 p.m. Washington, Jan. 2. It is announced that the Anti-Saloon League in America expects to spend nearly twenty million dollars for the enforcemenmt of prohibition in the United .States, an an extension of the prohibition crusade abroad. Two million five hundred thousand dollars will be spent in Australia, Japan, South Africa, and Europe; eighteen million dollars in the United States, and 6,800,000 dollars in Latin-American countries. The League expects to raise the total sum by popular subscription.—■ Aus.-N.Z- Cable Assn.
