The Ottawa correspondent of the New York Times says that prior to leaving on a long vacation, Sir Robert Borden announced that Sir George Foster, senior member of the Privy Council, will be acting-Premier. Major-General the Boa, S. C Mewburn has resigned as Minister for Defence. The Hon. A. L. Sifton has retired, as Minister for Public Works, and becomes Secretary for State, and the Hon. Martin Burrell, who was formerly Secretary for State, becomes Min* ister of Customs.-'Aus>N.Z. Cable Asm
