STRATFORD RACES. CONCLUDING DA.Y. PERFECT DAf WINS THE BIG RACK. LARGE ATTENDANCE AND STRONG SPECULATION. The Stratford Racing Club were favored with fine weather for the concluding day of their meeting, the slight shower that fell prior to tho first race hardly damping the ground. Certainly it did not interfere with the attendance, which, though not up to that of the previous day, was stul very large, over- £6OO being taken at the gates. The totalisator Investments were also very large, the sum of £38,979 10s being handled by the totalisator during the day, making a total for the meeting of £79,496, as compared with £28,903 10s for the one day meeting last year. The meeting should prove the biggest fliiaiK.sl success the Club has had. The sport provided was good, the tie!.is were on the whole large, and winners proved more difficult to pick than on the first day. The finishes were very close.
As on the first day, tho conduct of the meeting was excellent, and a tribute to the good work of all the officials.
Mr Jewell, the stipendiary steward, again had an easy day, there being one inquiry into Dillamore's riding of Ratana In the Makurl Hurdles. After the evidence of Dillamore and P.
