FIRES.
BIG BLAZE AT DARGAVILLE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dargaville, Jan. 2. A big fire at 3 o'clock this morning destroyed a block of buildings at Aratapu. Most of the premises Mere unoccupied, the only buildings at present used being the branch office of the National Bank and a solicitor's office. The cause of the fire is unknown, and the insurance is not available.
