MASQUERADER'S THEFT.
£16,000 TAKEN FROM BANK. London, Dec. I'd. The correspondent of the Times at Berlin reports that a swindler, masquerading in the uniform of a Belgian captain, commandeered five German policemen and six armed Belgian privates, and marched to a bank at Ais-la-Chapelle.
There he said he was making a search on behalf of the Belgian Government, and seized. £16,000. Tl>e manager, .liowever, suspected the thief, followed him anl had him'arrested.
