The death occurred in Wellington dui> ing the week of Mr. Scqbell, a member of ihe Diggers Pierrots Company. A familiar figure in FeUding 1 -recently. passed away in the person of Mr. J. C, Mandahl, the veteran Tailor, in his. 81st year. Mr. Mandahl, who wa» a nativeofNorway, came out to Hawke's Bay 'in the first Norwegian vessel that traded in New Zealand, and he had been * resident of Feuding for 28 yean.
