The Government is placing the Norddeutscher company's steamer Berlin under the. P. and 0. Company's management for the Australian and Indian passenger traflic. The Berlin was, early in the war, equipped as a commerce raider ami later as a mine layer. She laid the minefield that sank H.M.S. Audacious and then ran short of coal. She was interned in Norway.
